Pastor Phil Recommends
These Books on Marriage
At the recent Marriage Panel sponsored by the The Grace Under Somethings Fellowship, Pastor Phil shared that the five biggest conflicts in most marriages are about money, sex, children, religion, and the in-laws. He then recommended some of his favorite books on Marriage and Family relationships that address these key areas. While he does not agree with everything in any one of these, they provide great food for thought.

FACE LIFT Contract painting for all areas in the Grace facilities is proposed by Church Council.   Council determined that this is an ideal time to catch up on this deferred maintenance.  Ideal both because of the increased number of people who will come to the church during our 150th celebration and because of our favorable financial position.  A brief congregational meeting after the May 18 worship service is scheduled to inform the congregation about the painting extent and to get approval for the project.

Sign Up for Training
Grace has purchased and installed an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) at the south entrance to the Fellowship area.  While simple enough to be used if someone at Grace has a cardiac emergency, it is highly recommended by the recently conducted safety review at Grace that volunteers need to be trained in both AED and CPR techniques.  Join a group of 10-15 volunteers to receive training by phoning the church office at 937-859-3941.  As soon as the training group is fully formed a date and time will be announced.
